The FY 2013 Radiological Hazards Operations Training and Field Exercise will be held at Idaho National Laboratory, ID, 9-16 August 2013. This is a centrally funded course (no cost for travel, per diem or registration) for participants.
Army Nuclear Medical Science Officers (72As) and Health Physics Technicians (68SN4s) have priority; however, Chemical Corps Officers and NCOs, Environmental Hygiene Officers, Department of the Army Civilians and radiation safety professionals from other services may apply.
The Radiological Hazards Operations Training and Field Exercise is a course developed to train Army personnel to: respond to accidents and incidents involving radiation or radioactive materials, conduct radioactive source recovery operations, and provide radiological site assessments of areas suspected to be contaminated with radioactive material.
