Description

The FY 2014 Radiological Hazards Operations Training and Field Exercise will be held at Idaho National Laboratory, ID, 25 July - 1 August 2014. Report date of 24 July. It is a funded course, but not centrally funded. We have an application process and an order of merit for selection.

Army Nuclear Medical Science Officers (72As) and Health Physics Technicians (68SN4s) have priority; however, Chemical Corps Officers, NCO''s environmental Hygiene Officers, and radiation safety professionals from other services may apply.

The Radiological Hazards Operations Training and Field Exercise is a course developed to train Army personnel to: respond to accidents and incidents involving radiation or radioactive materials, conduct radioactive source recovery operations, and provide radiological site assessments of areas suspected to be contaminated with radioactive material.
